Age limit
Age relaxation
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): up to 5 years
- Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer only), SC or ST: up to 5 years
- Orthopedically Handicapped: up to 10 years
- Regular service in A.P. State Government: up to 5 years (employees of APTRANSCO, DISCOMs, APGENCO, corporations, municipalities and local bodies not entitled; service certificate required)
- Army, Naval or Air Force service of the Union: 3 years in addition to service rendered
- Whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC (minimum 6 months service): 3 years in addition to service rendered
- Retrenched temporary employee in State Census Department (minimum 6 months service during 1991): up to 3 years
Selection process
- Written examination: minimum qualifying marks 40% for OCs (including those claiming EWS reservation), 35% for BCs, and 30% for SCs/STs/Ex-Servicemen in each paper; failing one paper leads to disqualification
